Presentation of the funding notice
At the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport in Berlin, State Secretary Daniela Kluckert handed over a funding notice to hylane GmbH (hylane) for the procurement of 44 fuel cell trucks. The funding covers 80 percent of the difference between the acquisition costs for diesel and hydrogen-powered vehicles. The State Secretary handed over the notice at the ministry to Bernd Zens, board member of hylane's parent company, DEVK Versicherungen, to hylane's Managing Director, Sara Schiffer, and to the Head of Finance, Maximilian Draxler, with the request to quickly bring the funded vehicles onto the road and thus contribute to the decarbonization of heavy-duty transport.
Reduced rental rates through funding
hylane will hand over the first funded vehicles to customers this year. The rental model offers maximum comfort with minimal risk. Sara Schiffer says: "Through a usage-based rental, the so-called 'pay-per-use model,' customers only pay for the kilometers actually driven. The funds from the funding are fully used to reduce the rental rates for the offered vehicles and thus offer competitive prices." Initially, vehicles from HYZON Motors, Hyundai, Daimler Truck in cooperation with Clean Logistics Technology, and MAN Truck & Bus as a conversion solution from Framo eTrucks with fuel cells from Robert Bosch GmbH will be available. hylane's goal is to enable customers to manage sustainable and flexible mobility by consistently exploiting economic opportunities.
